Hello Everyone,

I thought I’d takg-wagone some time today just to talk about how I started Let’s Go Buy A Car and some of the obstacle of being a Business Owner. I know there are sooo many of you all that want to “quit that job” and have no idea how you can make it without “that job”!  I was there too, for so many years! I’ve always wanted to own a business and work for myself, but FEAR of that “paycheck” kept me from moving forward.   But once I was sick and tired, of being sick and tired of “that job” I realized, I was smart, I was tactful, I had lots of hustle, and I was not AFRAID!  What’s the worst thing that could happen? Failure?  But if I didn’t try, I’d never know if I could do it or not.  I knew that on “that job”, I gave 199% of me, and that was for someone else!  If I could give someone else MY 199%, I could give ME 500%!  And that’s what I did! I was a Mom and raised 3 amazing kids on my own, and no “job” could ever be as challenging as that!  So what did I have to lose?   Make sure you follow and keep up with the blog.  Some of my challenges and rewards could possibly help you “get started” to being your own Boss!

I’ll be giving you all tips on the career path in the blogs. So make sure you follow and keep up. And if you are trying to launch a business, just do it!! Don’t keep waiting! Tomorrow isn’t promised, so don’t die and bury your dream!

More coming….

Santa WalletWell it’s that time of year again.  Time for the parents to go broke to get the kids all these toys that they want from the TV commercials! Well I’ve been through that over 25 times (until they finished college) and I have some advice that could save you lots of money and heartache dealing with the children.  If your kids are adults, you’ll understand!

First of all, the kids need a limit of toys.  I know we want them to have more than what we had, but really.. we had maybe 2 toys!  So 3 toys would be more than what we had!  If you tell your kids they can get 5 toys, then you’ll see what’s really important to them.  That’s what you focus on.  Anything else would be a bonus.  How many times have they opened a gift and played with it once.  But stayed on the playstation for 10 days!  Not looking at anything else.  Stop wasting money on all those little things they don’t care about.  It’s more for the parents than the kids.

Be honest with them if your funds can’t get everything they want.  I know a lot of parents struggle everyday.  And you wonder how you will get the kids the gifts they want.  Kids ask for it because they think you can afford it!  If you be honest with your kids before Christmas and let them know that you can’t afford certain items, (if you raised them right) they will understand and their expectations won’t be so big.  Then if you are able to get more, its a bonus.  I remember one year I really couldn’t afford to get them  a  lot, but they ALWAYS had great Christmases.  They were incredibly understanding which blew me away.  But after Christmas, once bills were paid, I splurged on them, because they understood.

In short, Christmas has been commercialized and marketed to make kids think its about the toys and the gifts when it’s really not.  It’s about the birth of our Lord and Savior.  It’s about giving to the needy, and it’s about rejoicing.  If your kids seem ungrateful, take them to any homeless shelter and let them see how excited those kids are who only get one toy!  We as parents are the culprits. We are the ones who spoil our kids with “things” and they don’t get the true meaning until the “things” aren’t involved.  So this year, don’t go broke on one day.  Babies won’t even know it’s Christmas new Moms.  They already have lots of toys they never play with.  lol.. But I know it’s hard to not buy them everything.  But that’s for you.. not them, because they don’t know.

Cherish the day, and let the kids know the true meaning of Christmas.  And if you can do something for a child who has nothing, ask your child to give away one toy to a child who won’t get anything. They will certainly understand the true meaning and the value of Christmas if they do.

Dead Soil
Helloo Everyone!!!

I’m back!  And I’m glad to be back. These JOBS(just over broke) will get you into them, and out of yourself.  When you know your passion, it’s what you always come back too, and writing is mine. So I’m back with more stories, more laughs, and more of The Real Mommie Teresa!  I’ll do some catch ups with Teresa blogs also, but today I want to talk about my topic….”Flowers can’t bloom in dead soil.”

I was listening to Periscope yesterday, yes Periscope, I’m on it..@teresacrawford, just in case you want to follow me.  I’ll be doing more of those soon too. 🙂 Well
Ms. LaToyia Jones,(Check her out) was on, and she talked about don’t quit before you start.  Another great topic, but during her discussion,  she made a reference that no flower will bloom if the soil is dead.  That took me to so many different places in life.  It was like I could just see the dead flower limping, and wondering what it would take to bring it back to life.  Then I hear it.. “new soil”.

To the point, when something has expired in your life, then the time is up.  That can be a job, a lover, a husband, a wife,  a car, a house, a friendship, or whatever.  When you’ve done all you can do to make something  work, and it’s not working, then maybe the soil is dead.  When the soil is dead, water doesn’t work, fertilizer doesn’t work, nothing works.  The only thing that will work, is to dump that soil, and replace it with new soil.  So what am I saying?  You already know. Get rid of what’s keeping your flower from blooming. When a beautiful flower is dead, it limps over, the colors fade, the leaves fall off, and the total appearance of the flower has changed.  That means, you look sad, you feel bad, you feel depressed, you’re angry, you don’t want to do anything productive, your spirit is dead.  Is anyone experiencing that?  If you are, then you need to dump that dead soil, and replace it with new, fresh soil!  With new fresh soil, you get revitalized, you get refreshed, your color comes back, you start feeling good about yourself, and you start to bloom!! Once  you start blooming, then you start growing, and you get stronger and more beautiful  That soil that was killing  you, is gone, and the new soil has brought you back to life.

New SoilThat’s life.. don’t let what is not for you keep holding you down. The only way you will flourish, is to not be afraid to make changes in your life.  That decision is NOT easy, but it has to happen.  If you keep doing what you are doing, you’ll keep getting what you are getting.  The only way you will get something different, is to do something different.  If you keep doing the same thing and expect different results, you’ll just see that flower slowing starting to limp and die  So today, replant that flower in some new and improves soil!  Help that flower bloom and blossom!!  Now is your season!!! God will reap your blessing as long as you sow.

A sower went out to sow.  And as he sowed, some seeds fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them.  Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and immediately they sprung up, since they had no depth of soil, but when the sun rose they were scorched.  And since they had no root, they withered away.  Other seeds fell among thorns and the thorns grew up and choked them.  Other seeds fell on good soil, and produced grain, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.  He who has ears, let him hear.  Matthew 13:3-9

That message just reiterates what I’m saying.  Be careful where you put your soil..the ground also needs to be ready for the soil.

As Always..

Love & Kisses,

The Real Mommie Teresa

As I look at Social Media and see everyone posti2015/01/img_4651.pngng their accomplishment, certificates, lifestyles, trips, homes, cars, beautiful children, wonderful marriages, and successful businesses, a sense of happiness fulfills me, and there’s a little voice inside me saying, “they did that!” Even if I don’t know that person, I still click on that like button because in life, I love to see people live their lives and succeed.  It means that they’ve been thru that storm, and they made it out!! But on the other hand, you get the other people that ain’t happy about anyone doing anything!  They don’t like what you’re doing, they’re jealous about what other people have, and they have that misery in their life that doesn’t allow them to be happy.  Guess what? Eveythang ain’t for everybody.  They still have that storm to go thru before they get to their rainbow.  Realize that in order to get thru the storm, you may need to see what’s on the other side of the storm. You may need to have a goal to reach.  You may need to see what it looks like from an airplane flying over the Swiss Alps, or what a S63 Mercedes Benz looks like, or what a designer loft looks like, or what name brand perfume you can buy, or what nice restaurants you can go to for dinner, or what island you can’t wait to get to!  Don’t look at someone’s accomplishments and hate on them, look at them and increase you dreams!! YOU can have ANYTHANG, yes anythang, your heart desires, but it takes WORK!  Ain’t nobody giving you nothing you don’t deserve!  So instead of not being happy for someone, send them a message and ask them, what did you do to get there? What can I do? Tell me about that, and congratulate them!  They did it and so can you! If it ain’t your time yet..Rush your time to get here!  Only YOU can make that happen!  How do I know?? Maannn, if y’all only knew my story, you’d understand!

Love & Hugs

I visited a church here in Charlotte today and the Preacher spoke from Psalm 145.  A song of praise of David. (Ironically my lil Cousin David got baptized in Ga today also, congrats David!!).  Well he talked about a divine comeback.  And I’m just reiterating in short-term what I think we all need to hear.  We all pray, and we ask God for what we want.  We wait to see what God says, but most of the time, we don’t hear the answer because it’s not what we want it to be.  When you pray, and listen, then you can hear where God will lead you, but when you pray, and you think that God is giving you what you want, then you really don’t hear Him, you just assume that He will give you what you pray for.  God sometimes says NO.  When He says no, you don’t hear that.  You go out and make that mistake and then you want forgiveness.

When God leads you to unknown territory, He has a purpose for you.  Even though you may not agree, or you may not know what the outcome will be, He does.  When He removes people, cars, money, jewelry, friends, or anything from your life, He’s getting you ready for what HE has for you.  If God ask you to give up all your riches, would you?  If HE did, it would be because He has something greater for you.  I truly believe that.  God will take ALL you have, break you down to nothing, and test your faith.  If you can worship and praise HIM when you have nothing, then He will give you everything.  I know my faith has been challenged, but I believe in HIM and I know that  where He leads me, I will go.  Once you get that understanding of who HE is, and the true power HE has, then you will understand His word, and His works.

So in closing the Preacher said to say goodbye to all the things that are holding you back from your blessings.  Goodbye bad relationships, goodbye abusive relationships, goodbye to abusive behavior, goodbye to struggling, goodbye to being broke, goodbye to anything causing harm.  And stop introducing yourself as who you used to be, such as, I’m a divorcee, I’m a recovering addict, I’m a felon, I’m a struggle mother.  Introduce yourself as who you are now, not who you used to be.  Let the past be the past.  He brought you through it to make you better, not to relive that situation over and over again.   Just as I needed to hear this and I definitely live by this, I wanted to share it with you all.

So be blessed,

LOVE, HUGS AND KISSES

Money, “The Root of Evil”..

This topic comes from a conversation I had with someone very close to me.  People think when you have money, it can make you happy, it can solve problems, and you don’t need anyone “if” you have money.  Do you remember these quotes?  “Money is the root of all evil”; “more money, more problems”?  Those are true statements.  Someone is probably thinking.. “Well that ain’t me!  Give me money!!”

My thoughts go back to a time I was living in Eatonton.  Renting a house for a little of nothing, and having a house full of friends.  We didn’t have a lot of money, but we had enough for everyone to pitch in, buy a bottle of Crown Royal, fill up the gas tank, and ride all day!  Now those were the best times ever!  I then think about the time I had money, had a party, invited everyone who normally didn’t bring anything.  I did all the work, all the entertainment, and all the cleaning, while they were all gone.  Then think about the times you go out and spend hundreds of dollars hanging out with people who really don’t care about you, only that you are buying!  Where was the love?   Even when you have money and visit your hometown, you have to buy everything, do everything, pay everyone’s bills, and then leave empty handed.  Where’s the love?

The times you know people love you, is the times you have nothing!  More money, more problems.  What does that mean?  It doesn’t mean problems for you, it means you are now in charge of everyone else’s problems.  If you have money, everyone with a problem, looks to you as their saving grace.  You are supposed to be the one to bail everyone out of their situations that they put themselves in.  Only because you have money.  If you didn’t have money, then you’d be able to listen and to talk them thru their situation and give them advice.

Look at all those lottery winners who now have nothing! Why, because they probably were the saving grace for so many other people.  How many people do you think are lonely because they have money?  Probably over 80% of them?  Why? Because now, it’s not about love, and friendship, it’s about money.  If you think you have sincere friends, and you have money.. tell them you’re broke and see if they are still around!

Family is all we have these days.  When you are from a close family, do all you can to stay close.  Don’t  let the evilness of greed and money tear you apart! When I can sit and spend time with my family, my cousins, it means more to me than any amount of money I can have.  I know how to be broke, and I know how to have money, I’ve been thru both of them.  And its ashamed to say, that the times I didn’t have anything, were the best times of my life.

So people, don’t get caught up trying to be like the Jones.. They probably ain’t happy!  Don’t try to impress someone with something that you can’t afford.   Live within your means, and you will go a long way.  If you can’t afford designer, why keep making the designers “richer” and you “poorer”.   When I say, live, love and laugh, that’s what I mean.  Those are the days that you will always remember.

Love and Hugs
